Off topic, I wanted to thank you all again. I've gotten a lot of messages I wouldn't have expected when starting this. For example, one of our listeners actually hails from the town in today's episode! I get messages from people telling me about their hometown disasters, and I love them. I've also received a lot of messages from people telling me they used something they learned on this show to help someone else, including one from a listener who used our special breathing technique to help someone they loved through a panic attack. That really means something to me too. Here's to 100 more listener rescues!

Question... Although I do listen to the ad-free episodes on Patreon, I still listen on Spotify over my Alexas. In fact, I typically end up listening to each new episode once or twice on Spotify and then come here for the extended ad-free episode (makes it kinda feel like I get two new episodes). Regarding Spotify though, I was wondering if it reduces your ad revenue when people fast forward through advertisements. I don't mind hearing them if it benefits you, but if not, I'll be sure to skip those annoying Chumba Casino ads. Btw, is it an advertising strategy to attempt to annoy people into buying their product or service? I love when podcast hosts read ads and am far more likely to buy those products than many of the annoying programmatic ads that Spotify likes to shove into shows randomly without concern for episode flow (I know this isn't you're doing, and the ads on your podcast aren't nearly as obtrusive as some other shows I listen to). I would be interested to learn more about how you get to influence your podcast ads (especially on Spotify) if at all. I've heard Spotify has started being more aggressive about inserting programmatic ads wherever they want in the podcast. Not complaining, just genuinely curious!
