I did my best to cut through the social media clutter and applied my own math as best I could - but the fact about this disaster is it is unprescidented. We're talking about physics and hydrodynamics at levels we have zero experience with, and no real way to test, or reason to try. So many things had to go wrong for this to happen, and I will happily singing-telegram-style deliver the blame directly to Stockton Rush's door.
On the plus side, we’ll explore why laughing at billionaires is good for the world and your health - and we'll talk about some people who ended up a little worse for wear. Unrelated, if there’s anything audio related - blame Logitech. There is a newer microphone in the future. If you like the show, maybe strong-arm a fellow listener into ponying up a buck.

I always wonder about those left behind. Is it worse to have a mixed bag of sympathy and dickishness in exchange for not feeling so alone? My guess is no.
Even though this isn’t a little-known or forgotten disaster, I still loved it and am glad you did it. I’m more than happy to pay more for extra content like this. Have you thought about doing tiers on Patreon? You could make one that’s more than $1 and those people get extra episodes on contemporary events or something. Just a thought. I personally feel really bad for the mother and wife that was left behind. My husband died about 11 months ago and I can’t imagine going through it while grieving my son as well 💔💔. Which is one of the reasons why there are regulations; yes so you don’t die, but also so you don’t make someone into a widow or a mother who has to mourn her child, or a child without a parent 🤦🏻♀️. I find tragic events that are so easily preventable the most frustrating.
