In answering the question "how would you choose to die in a Doomsday Aviation disaster episode, I choose cartwheeling and exploding at Dallas For Worth airport. I only chose it because of the survivability rate - such as it was. I did not promise I would enjoy it.
This is myself and my wife years ago after getting tricked into going on a 3D ride without seeing it first and not realizing till it was way too late that it spun on all three axis in a most unrollercoastery way. I had to hit the chicken button at the end to keep from painting this thing with barf.

You've done enough! I once got a 2" cut on the thigh that I was able to make talk like a little mouth, but the attending nurse wasn't having it. You've inspired me. I'm going to share my splinter story on an upcoming mailbag, just for you.
Ouch! Ive removed damaged or ingrown nails from patients but never removed my own. That was enough to make me cring! Ill pass on that one. Ive picked out pieces of metal shrapnel from own arm and then splinters of it over the years, but its not that bad. The bigger pieces I removed right after the injury and dont remember much of it thanks to the head injury that came with it so I kinda cheated there. The splinters hurt less than an actual splint. Ill take my shrapnel over removing my own nails!
I've had a few accidents over the years. This fall I accidentally smashed a nail in a garage door, gave myself a paper cut on the nailbed and had to remove the rest of the nail ahead of schedule. It's kind of amazing when you think about all the things you hate doing, compare them to something that would make most people throw up with anxiety, and it's amazing what we are capable of. We are each stronger and more capable than we realize.
