I used to go on IMVU a lot when I was younger....it was a time period in my life where it was easier to talk to people online. There were definitely weird people I came across but there were also cool people I spoke to on there and became friends with at the time. I was 17 when I joined it and was active on it for a few years. It did feel like an escape from reality for me, I loved creating outfits and the effects were cool. But I am glad I never went on it before I was17. I hope the victims can get the justice from the disgusting preds on there.

I was addicted and used in return. And the line between underage and adult users is only on the outside... I hope it gets shut down. I hope it stops being used. I hope people get what they deserve. Creators of it aren't innocent and one of my groomers was close to the top of management at the time.

When I was 14 I was groomed on IMVU and it took me years to even acknowledge it. It was my life, my escape from already complicated life and what I got in return is knowledge that there is explicit content of underage me somewhere online. I hate myself for it still and therapy is barely helping.

I remember IMVU so much as a kid, I also remember being super jealous of kids who had an IMVU account, I never had a good enough computer to play it though, shit ran at like 5FPS, and now I'm starting to be glad that I never had a computer good enough to run it. lol. I guess the only other one I can think of that was kinda sketchy that I did play was a site called OurWorld, but as far as I'm aware that site is dead now. so good riddance probably lol. I think the predator problem has definitely spiked on the Club Penguin Revival sites though. so maybe that's something to look into. Club Penguin I remember being one of the safer ones back in the day, nowadays when Disney has completely ditched it, and all you got are sketchy revival sites, I hear it's a much bigger problem now. Either way, keep doing what you're doing Mama <3
