Alright. Possibly the most important poll I've ever made.
🕑 Added 2022-09-14 00:20:32 +0000 UTCi was talking with a commission client who's been subbed since the start of the patreon and we talked about how insertion is the only major kink i haven't done for httyB, which is ofc my most popular story, as im sure you all know.
and i was mentioning how with v3 of that story, i wanted to make Olivia kinda brattier (but not too sadistic), in contrast with httyD being the gentle alternative.
and since httyD is already 9 inches, i didnt want to do httyB v3 at the same size, cuz i might end up with a lot of overlap of scenarios, so my original plan was to likely put reese somewhere around 13 to 16 inches. less than half of what he's at now, but still a lot bigger than Marcus' 9 inches, so it could stand on its own and be more unique.
but then client was mentioning how if i want to make Olivia brattier (like, its already a lock in my outlines for that version that there will be way more sex involved), then insertion seems like a natural inclusion to make. but i cant really do that if i make him 15 inches aint no sane woman gonna take that without hurting herself even if she's 6'6 lol
and as someone who does this writing for a living at this point, and will be finishing college next year hopefully and wants to move out hopefully and wants to keep living in the city i live in even tho its expensive hopefully, i was like hm, writing my most popular story with insertion might help gain even more fans, and then i wont have to live on the line between 'happily making a modest but manageable living' and 'almost making a living but not quite so now i need a second job which takes time away from writing which takes money away too ofc so everything might collapse'
sooooooo. new chapter of httyb tomorrow probably, but until then, if u wanna help decide the fate of version 3...

P.S. #2 i've thought about having flashback chapters, like where he remembers something a few weeks in the past. so depending on the response to 15 inch Reese i'll try to fit some of that in for those who still like that size

i just had the idea actually of having a second sister for v3, who would be somewhere between 2 and 3 feet. then reese would be ~15 inches relative to her and i could do those ideas, but also i could have some 6 ft sis vs 3 ft sis femdom stuff that i thought was too far for v2

Agreed. I like the olivia character and his pacing. I just think at that size when it culminates into those crazy moments, like it has in version 2, he can do so much more. Not necessarily worse, but certainly not better. Just a diff kind of humiliating that checks off all the boxes. Just my two cents. I’m a big fan of Olivia and the characters he created in that series, including the slice of life stuff. I’d love to see the kinds of dynamics he’d create at that size.

After rereading @jsm109's comment, I've reconsidered. I think 8 or 15 inch Reese works. There are definitely more humiliation options if he is 8 inches such as the body-to-dick comparison. I'm still set on Olivia not being a total witch though

One of the reasons I love your stories and especially HTTYB is the "realistic" interactions between characters. Besides the fantasy of shrinking and some occasional teasing, Olivia and Reese still get along fairly well. There are countless stories on GWorld that do the whole sadistic side and the way you have them interact in a more normal way is refreshing to me. Plus I agree with @tales0. Reese might not be able to be fully inserted, but if there are ways for Reese to somehow make contact or get rubbed/inserted without Olivia truly intending it, then you're the person who can make it work. For me personally, I just would feel that all the character development that's been built between the two of them would be for naught if Olivia suddenly became sadistic. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad spin off story, but for the main story, I vote 15 inches and not totally insanely cruel Olivia haha

It would be interesting to see what kind of insertion-adjacent actions a 15-inch person might be able to perform/have acted upon them, especially from someone as creative as you. Sure, at 15 inches it's too much to go all the way in, but the width (or girth, in this case) would probably make whatever fits feel good. I would certainly miss all the slice-of-life stuff that a half-foot tall person wouldn't be able to engage in with the rest of the family or with Olivia's friends, although truly pet-sized has its perks, for sure. You write really well so I am sure whatever you decide will be excellent. I very much enjoyed Spiteful Sister, so if HTTYB goes that direction I won't be unhappy.

im on giantessworld giantesscity deviantart patreon gumroad and twitter lol i do as much marketing as i can! httyD is the only story i'd consider myself "passionate" about. the mini-gts content will continue with the Teenage Succubus story, which im at the point now where i honestly have so many ideas that i could write it for a loooong time. and eventually if/when i start a new How to Train story then it'll start at the mini-gts size like httyb and httyd did

I guess to me, I'm wondering if making Reese 8 inches is actually something that really would increase your readership that much. Like, if insertion is a little more popular (but not much more), then maybe the effort is better spent on marketing yourself, or writing more stories you're more passionate about. You're also one of the few writers who do this sort of size and you really do it justice Or maybe I'm just biased because I think 15 inches is hotter LOL

for a while i didnt really want to change my overall vision that much for my main stories, cuz like... why would i, you know? they're clearly successful as is. but as i write more stories for other people i've grown to appreciate and enjoy writing httyD more, so i think i've realized that that story can stay the personal fav and i'll let httyB be tweaked by the fans a little more
