Great reaction. The real Joe Clark died 2020. There is a documentary on him somewhere. I love this movie, I watched it like a million times and watching it as an adult I look at it with a different eye and the last part makes me emotional

Limiting the programs they were able to offer 20 years later. 1987 was also the height of the crack epidemic that impacted all races especially those in poorer neighborhoods.

I’m glad you reacted to film. My sister’s dad was in this film. The Guys in the bathroom was my sister’s dad and uncles. They call themselves Riff and they have a music career in the business because of this movie. They just celebrated the 35th anniversary of the movie last year and got a street named after them in Paterson called Riff Road( also known as the lean on me boys). Most of my family went to eastside in Paterson. Joe Clark received the keys to the city in 2021 though he passed in 2020 he is still a major stable of Paterson.
