Yess, so they actually lied about how smart he was in the movie which he said made it hard for him to get drafted. Also they lied to him saying they would adopt him but in reality they made his over all his royalties from this movie to them.

I liked this movie when it came out but now I don’t know how to feel about it. Michael is suing the family now. They said they helped him, he said they used him. Also he didn’t get any money from this movie but they did. So I’m conflicted because I don’t know who or what to believe. I just hope everything gets worked out
