They did but they edited the movie and took a lot of things out. Like the teacher actually told him to break his leg instead of no mercy. He also yelled finish him at the end

This version definitely skipping a couple scenes. At the shi shi festival, Dre and meiyling kiss behind the screen while the puppets kiss and the camera cuts to taraji and Jackie like “😟”. And in the tournament, the other sensei tells the student to injure Dre before he elbows his leg.

Before y'all spam her, when she does watch the OG, someone will inform her that the OG is actually a trilogy. There's three movies, my personal favorite. I can't choose between the one from 1984 and the karate kid 2 in 1986
