here is my timed reaction to x-men: days of future past!
i LOVED this movie, i feel like this and the last x-men movie are definitely my favorite out of x-men so far and makes me super excited to see what's next!

Marvel created the X-Men, Spider-Man and the Avengers in the 60s and has always owned the characters. They sold or leased the rights to make movies for some of them such as X-Men to Fox and Spider-Man to Sony (for just $7M!). So the X-Men movies were in a different universe than the MCU., but Marvel Entertainment did participate in making them. The rights may revert back to Marvel if the studios don’t make movies, that happened with the original Daredevil movie. The agreements should cover what characters are included but sometimes it gets tricky. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch debuted in an X-Men comic and they are mutants, but they are also long time Avengers. This is why Quicksilver appeared in both Universes, but they could not use the term mutant.
