also i think it’s important to note that this isn’t the first time Amy ‘killed herself’ to see Rory again. Remember that she did it in Amy’s Choice in the dream world (S5) and again in The Girl Who Waited by letting her older self die so that her younger self could live alongside Rory (S6). It just goes to show just how much she truly loved him, despite all of the constant backwards and forwards things they did in the writing.
