Pretty sure that Gauntlet he uses to vaporize that timelord is of similar creation to the one Torchwood use

The Dog Walker

I know youve seen it, you're four weeks ahead. Do you think anyone watching your Who series hasnt seen the show?

Emme

Yes

Bear

It was all epic but now it's time for my favourite doctor of Nu Who it's time to turn it up to 11!

The Dog Walker

Does that include Doctors names?

Emme

Christian Benitez Ugarteche

Hi Emme my name is Christian or just Chris I apologize in advance for the way I'm writing. English is not my first language. I am from Bolivia, so my first language is Spanish. I love your reactions especially this Doctor Who reactions. Now that you have finished officially this season. I want to share with you this video. It would be really good if you can react to it, but if you decide just to watch it by yourself, it's OK. It's a special clip when they wrap off officially the David Tennant season. I share with you the YouTube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c6qENWh2jQ

David Tennant was my fav doctor until the doctor after the next one! The 12th Doctor! <3 So I'll be patiently wait until you get to him lol Matt Smith is amazing though! The Moffat era has its hits and misses (as was the RTD era) but I'm sure you'll love him atleast mid s5!

N.M.

David Tennant is my doctor and when I watched his regeneration for the first time it devastated me! Matt Smith does a great job with the doctor and Steven Moffat is an excellent writer! I’m excited for you to continue on your Doctor Who journey!

Mark McKeown

The “reward” is more his bitterness at having to give up his life when he didn’t want to change

The Dog Walker

You misspelled "Smith and Moffet".

Bravo Charlie

Fear not, more peak is on the way!

Killian

Some things to note, a theory about the woman IS that she's the doctors mum but also, Rassilon (the president) referred to the woman as "weeping angel of old." Makes you wonder if that's how the angels are made and why they have the ability to displace people in time (fallen timelords). Also part of the reason 10 is so sad about going is because he had the shortest life of all the doctors, only around 6 years compared to near hundreds for the others. Matt Smith is great in series 5 as the doctor, you have a lot of great emotional episodes ahead. Would be a great point for a break with s3 of Torchwood 👀 lol jk, although it would explain why Jack was in a spaceship. Definitely disagree with the rest here, Tennant for me was the best doctor who got. Not that Smith and the next aren't great, they are!! But Tennant and RTD were just the perfect match for doctor who.

Killian

Agree to disagree! Moffat writing just never engaged me enough when he took over, his characters never had the same level of relatablity that got me into the show with RTD sadly

James Knight

If you haven't already seen it there's still the Comic Relief Special from 2009 with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. It's just under 6 minutes long, I personally think it might be worth reacting to finish this era on a positive note, but it is you're prerogitive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHAJ4VFStUE

I think the Eccleston/ Tennant era and team were necessary to relaunch the show to bring in the new audience. As good as Smith and the Moffat team were, I don't think they would have been right to revive the IP, though clearly they were fantastic at continuing and improving upon what came before. Being a Techie I look at it in digital development terms; with Eccleston as the Alpha Phase, Tennant as the Beta Phase, and Smith as the finished RTM/ RTW (Release to Market/ Web).

Michael Thomas

Doctor who has this weird ability to regenerate the entire show when a new doctor comes. Get ready for a wonderful ride in the Moffat Era! (My favorite era)

Jamie

Time for my favourite doctor Matt smith easily, hope you enjoy the next doctor

SRD88

Great reaction Emme, this was such a big episode, you pretty much summed it up, whilst Ecclestone was great, Tennant took the show to a new level and was the Doctor that made so many people fall in love with the show Its a hell of a show that makes you frequently have to say goodbye to its leads and constantly put you through the emotinal ringer. Its a real credit to the writers that they are able to continually create characters that we enjoy enough that we are sad to see them go. Here's to the Eleventh Doctor and the new adventure ahead

Ashley Johns

There’s always that period of mourning when a doctor you adore departs.. and it can take a while to adjust to a new one. I actually didn’t watch for a while and then binged Matt’s stuff. And I’m glad I gave him a chance. So all the emotions you’re feeling don’t stress, we’ve walked that journey also

The Dog Walker

Im thinking by the end of epi 2.

Adinium

For real the moffat era is so much better

The Dog Walker

Welcome to "The Doctor and Amy Pond in the Tardis".

NNC

Aw Emme, I'm sat here crying with you!! Don't worry, by the end of S5, you'll be okay <3

The Dog Walker

IMO for the better.

I have no name

Not only did they change the lead actor. The entire production team left. So Doctor Who is going to feel different

I have no name

The next Doctor was very unknown at the time so you asking who he was is like going back to 2009 when they first announced casting

I have no name

Matt Smith

The Dog Walker

Here is an exerpt from a 5-1 review from SLANT magazine. Of course, the most important facet of this new-look Doctor Who is the new Doctor himself. Everyone was waiting to see how relative unknown Matt Smith would cope with the task of taking over the role from the incredibly popular David Tennant. Most of the misgivings were over his age—at 27, he is the most youthful Doctor ever. For all Moffat’s statements about how Smith had blown them away in his audition, instantly getting the character of the Doctor, the concerns remained—just how believable could this guy be playing a 900-and-something-year-old alien? Well, after just this one episode, I’m prepared to deliver a verdict—Moffat and co. have got it spectacularly right. Matt Smith has absolutely grabbed the role of the Doctor and made it his own, with an assurance and confidence rivalling that in Tom Baker’s arrival 35 years ago. He certainly doesn’t play it as young in any way. In fact, he seems to me a quieter, more cerebral Doctor than either Eccleston or Tennant, with his mind constantly whirring away observing and making connections, staying one step ahead of everyone else; I had no trouble believing he could be the smartest guy in any room. Combined with this is an amusing eccentricity in his movements—an “elegant shambles,” to use Moffat’s own excellent description—that makes him continually watchable. It’s a truly impressive performance, and I’m genuinely looking forward now to seeing where he takes the Doctor over the course of this season.

The Dog Walker

If David was the Brad Pitt Doctor, Matt is Tom Hanks.

The Dog Walker

And an evening period...

The Dog Walker

And 6.

The Dog Walker

FWIW I went into 5-1 pre hating this goofey looking poser thinking he could hold a candle to David...but...I started leaning in at "fish fingers and custard" and was won over at "basically, run". By the end of the first episode Matt had already turned me. And Amy didn't hurt. I love Karen.

The Dog Walker

As good as david was, Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor...and not by a small margin. Dont worry Emme, youre in good hands.

Adinium

5 of the best seasons for sure. Series 5,6, 8, 9 and 10 are all phenomenal. Series 7 is also great but less so than the others

Adinium

Nah the moffat era is much better than the RTD era

Gary

When Wilf was the one who knocked 4 times my stomach sank. Such a sad ending but I love that his reward is just a little more time with his friends and I love that the person he wanted to see last was Rose.

TheNealDog

Same here was heartbroken and couldn't fully appreciate Matt Smith growing up but as time goes on his adventures grow on me

HugeBakkaeMotae

it’s sad to see david tennant go but i promise you season 5 will make it all worth it!! truly phenomenal

Killian

The next series is a great one, none of them reach the quality as the first 4s best imo but still a lot of solid stories and episodes to come, especially in series 5!

Diljabar

Real ones

Diljabar

Geronimo

Annicus the Wise

Rory’s dad better

James Miller

Get excited, because you're about to see the best season premier in the show, and the two best seasons.

Joe

Sure, Rory.

Absoluti0n

When I first watched, I was just as devastated when Tennant left, to the point where I couldn't fully enjoy Matt Smith. However after some time passed I really grew to love him, so hopefully you will too! This is also where Steven Moffat takes over as showrunner, and the Moffat era overall has become my favorite era of Doctor Who.

Thomas Williams

Trust me, there is a morning period. You will love Matt Smith (the next doctor) and we have all been there🥺

DeathSwitch

Oh look, It's Daemon Targaryen

Thomas Thompson

Next doctor is my personal one, but no true Whovian resents someone for missing their Doctor.

Joshua delrey

Rory?

Joe

Yay my fav companion next!

Adinium

The doctor and the master are not brothers, the doctor specifically said they weren’t to martha, they are childhood friends

Willos

Watching this as a kid was the saddest thing ever but Matt Smith does a brilliant job as the doctor too

Joshua delrey

Yay my fav doctor next!
