I understand with torchwood but please please please watch series 3 it was a short series broadcast over 5 nights Monday-Friday. It’s called children of earth and it was a masterpiece. Also Sarah Jane adventures I think you would enjoy. If not gonna watch them all watch series 3 episode the wedding of Sarah Jane smith it ties in with doctor who where you currently are

FYI I think you made the right decision. I definitely enjoyed watching Torchwood when I was a teenager and it gives a tiny bit of context for Dr Who but it's aged poorly and I'd rather watch you watch 2x Doctor Who eps personally. People in the comments can give you any context you missed tbh

I'm so excited for you to continue your journey with Doctor Who! It's became part of my routine to sit and watch with you now, I love seeing and hearing your perspective on it! Also, it's totally understandable with your views on Torchwood. I personally think it's not the best for the first two seasons and at times, I feel it tries too hard to be dark and edgy. Season 3/Children Of Earth is definitely the best out of bunch, I was too young to watch it when it first aired but even when I did watch it, I still feel it was a bit too dark for my age. I was around 14/15 when I first watched it and it did truly scar me as a teen 🤣 I would recommend it though, it's some of the best pieces of British Television in the past 20 years. Season 4 can be totally skipped in my opinion. It's definitely the weakest. Whatever you decide to do is chill of course. Always happy to watch your reactions ☺️

Hi Emme, I know I don't comment that much (I don't usually comment in general on anything nowadays lol). I completely understand your perspective on Torchwood honestly and if anything.. I don't remember much from Torchwood season 1 and barely remember anything from season 2 (they're just not that memorable for me) but trust me when I say this.. season 3.. OH BOY... that one is the MOST memorable!! Again, completely up to you what you want to do but just know that I favour season 3 over all the others. I don't remember like EVERYTHING, but the stuff I do remember... oohh boy it left a scar on my memory lol

Fair enough if you decide not to react to series 3 but I'd say try and give it a watch if you can. It's only five episodes but it's definitely the best out of all the series.

I think you made the right call with Torwood, I know creators want to do as much they can to satisfy their viewers but the reality is you can't please everyone, with so many subs you're going to get people trying to pull you in so many different directions, the best thing to do is whats right for you Your channel. Your perogative

to be honest, torchwood isn't for me too, but season 3 is the only one worth watching, it's only 5 eps, the writing and acting is very good, you might wanna see at least the first episode (not necessarily recording)

Not surprised in the slightest. Torchwood is very much an aquired taste. It took me a few watches to appreciate parts of series 1 and 2. I gave series 3 my immediate approval, because it's arguably shockingly and consistently good by comparison. Almost like watching a completely different show in a number of ways. Even if and or when you did watch it on your own, I wonder if you'll be very glad that you didn't react to it.

Disappointing about Torchwood since the 3rd season is the only one written by the same guy who writes doctor who but understandable as well since you didn't enjoy season 1 and 2. Either way, can't wait to see everything leading up to season 5 of doctor who
