That's one of the things I dislike a bit abt this doctor lol, he's portrayed as very goofy and...socially inept when it comes to humans and what is and isn't socially acceptable to say or do. Which doesn't make sense to me since so much of the doctors life especially the last incarnation has been living with and surrounded by human society lol.

There was an old 1980 4th Doctor story called State of Decay (a favourite of mine) in which the Doctor and co. encountered actual, true vampires, not some aliens pretending to be. It's a cool story. Ironically, the actress playing the main companion at that time, Lalla Ward, who played Romana. Her first acting role was in a 1972 Hammer Horror Film called The Vampire Circus, in which she played a vampire.
