I like how Frieren's farewell changed from "Goodbye, take care" to "See you later" as if she knows the dream he had that night about his wife would keep him going until they meet again.

this is such an interesting question!!! i dont know if shes in denial of it or if she is more so numb/unware of the feelings. i might have to wait until the end of the season to say whether she was truly IN love with him, but i think she definitely loved him deeply, if that makes sense. and maybe was numb to it/suppressing it while he was alive since she knew his lifespan is so short compared to hers

I've been meaning to ask this an episode or two back, but do you think and agree with my theory that Frieren might have fallen in love with Himmel... but she only realised it too late (and possibly in denial of her feelings she had/has for him)?
