My mom has never touched a video game, but to be fair she was born in ‘63, so by the time really popularized consoles and shit were out, she wasn’t a kid anymore and had no interest. Plus she lived on an island in Scotland that didn’t keep up with a lot of tech stuff. Like she didn’t even have a microwave where she lived 😭 My step dad only really got into games as an adult, so when he got me an Xbox, he played a shit ton of Skyrim, and when he was bored at his IT job he’d be playing other games online, on another screen.

My sister in law is 19 and she has ZERO problem solving skills, these zoomers can't google stuff for themselves. I saw a tiktok that explained it well. Being a millennial, we had to teach ourselves windows 95, then windows 98, 2000, xp, vista etc. We started with Flip phones, then black berries and iphones, we cracked photoshop and we played around with garry's mod etc. But these zoomers have grown up with ipod touches and iphones, technology has has such little advancements they don't know what to do when something so new and drastic comes out.

Regarding the bowling pins falling over and getting free points, I believe most alleys have a button somewhere around the control centre that you can press to redeploy the pins in case one falls, and I think it should do it based on whatever it believes the distribution of pins should be in that moment before you roll your ball. In case you guys go again lol. Should be found somewhere close to where the bowling balls return.

This is gonna sound crazy about bowling, but I have noticed that the more mainstream bowling alleys have now started to reuse one set of pins rather than put new ones down. and the way they do this is that all 10 pins have a string system above them that will actually pull them up. And from my pov, I swear to God, would simulate how pins fall because the ball never hit said pin yet and had already fell down prematurely. This new system sucks because the older bowling alleys were far more goated with having tournaments and trophies rather than whatever normie centric system they have now.
