Hey, cool-ass autistic guy here. The most difficult thing about autism is always having to wear a mask to fit in and try so hard to replicate social norms. And we do that every single time we socialize. So, the cultural difference of Germany probably perpetuated that and how they’d have to re-learn how to mask it. It’s so hard to explain and in my experience, people will devalue your struggles because they can’t understand. It’s something that requires a conversation to even get a glimpse of how difficult social situations are.
