I generally agree with this, but considering the fact that Lud and co. are not flying high enough to get seriously hurt, and that Lud was intentionally and knowingly exploiting the casual nature of their pickup game, Lud is massively cringe in this instance.

Commented on Twitter too but taking a charge in pick up is insane and cringe. Now your best drive being just running through people because you can't handle the ball is cringe too, but charges are lame and can easily hurt someone. I played basketball through varsity as a kid and still play pick up 2-3 times a week. Don't think I've seen a charge called in a pick up game more than once or twice in my life and they were absolutely met with groans.
