I never really watched his streams or YouTube before but after relating to him SO hard in this episode (not even the main ep) after I finally bought the Patreon again when I got my new job (I bounce around tech companies a lot) it made me really want to watch him. I started listening to the yard bc I work a mind numbingly boring job and it was tangential in my recommendations to Charlie’s Official Podcast. But yard tier list is Nick, slime, aiden, lud. Nick because he likes Big L, Slime second because he’d think putting him first was pandering, aiden because he’s Nintendo pilled and game respects game in mkwii, lud last only because I fuck with his ludlockes but he doesn’t.

Tbh I never considered it Ludwig’s podcast. I was a big fan of Bad Melee back in the day so seeing Slime on a pod again with Ludwig, who I only remembered for getting roasted all the time on Bad Melee yet he struck Twitch gold, is what got me into The Yard.

It's so weird to think that so many early viewers discovered this podcast through the same avenue. I didn't watch Ludwig, I've never played melee, I barely watch twitch. The YouTube algorithm placed the very first video from The Yard channel into my feed on the day it was uploaded and I've just watched every episode since. this is a good episode. i like the more intimate real talk discussion compared to the normal. i LOVE the normal vibe of the pod, which is why im here in the first place, but kind of digging deep with aiden, nick, and stanz is such a vibe. would love to see similar vibe primos with other guests of just like, deep cut shit.

I find it funny that most people find the yard through Ludwig because I am the opposite. I just liked listening to long form content and the yard happened to be recommended early on so I became a listener. Nothing against Ludwig, that content just isn't for me, and I find the yard a lot more engaging.
