yeah i’m actually non binary but afab and still v much femme presenting so sometimes in these cases I feel like it’s easier just to refer to myself as a woman but yeah. It was a really scary time for women and i think another time that mostly men or amab people think about so differently when remembering what was going on at the time to women is also gamergate. I know it didn’t effect as many ppl as the fappening but to any girls or women at the time that was a big moment of feeling scared for our safety in our community, but men remember it so differently, although most now will actually realise that it was fucked up.

Based on a sonic comic Dr. Kintobor (robotnik backwards) was originally friends with sonic, who was at the time brown but still fast. Dr Kintobor was experimenting with the master emerald when he went to get his lunch, an egg that went bad. He tripped on something and hit a machine that released energy from the emerald which combined Dr Kintobor and the egg, making him evil and at the same time gave sonic his blue color. I’m like 50% on the specifics but that’s generally how it went I think. I don’t know where the name originated from, what he looked like or the comic but it’s fucking ridiculous that it’s a cannon story

Dream I just had last night. I’m walking with slime down a side walk near my house. We don’t know each other so I’m trying to make conversation and ask. “Ok can you explain the sonic porn to me”? As he starts to explain, we hit a dead end and and turn around to two men trying to rob us at gun point. The gun is pointed at my head and after lots of screaming I realize I’m probably gonna die. Out of no where this guy gets shot 4 times and I look right to see slime, with a gun, my hero. Dream ends

token woman viewer here: it’s so interesting to hear abt the experiences that two men had around the fappening, I remember being really upset and a lot of the people i followed and stuff talking a lot about how fucked up the situation was, it’s just so interesting how our individual experiences of those times can be so different based on our gender, like… it’s so funny to me that y’all thought that was cool (again, not blaming anyone it’s totally a societal and time issue) when the experience for women at the time was one of collective fear about what this meant about our future when it came to our safety with things like that circulating! I’m like a year younger than Aiden as well, so I was 15ish i think, but i remember it being a huge topic amongst the people i followed and the girls i was friends with at the time. Just so cool to hear it from an entirely different perspective, i think it genuinely illustrates how things that were thought of as cool and funny to guys can often be things women genuinely have to fear.

The "don't fuck with border patrol" thing is real as shit lol, for my 21st bday my parents wanted to take me to some bars in Detroit and theres a tunnel in Detroit that goes under the lake into Canada and my dad who was driving made a wrong turn and ended up on this one way leading to that tunnel and my dad is not allowed to leave the country EVER so that was a fun thing to try and explain to men armed with assault rifles lol. Essentially ended with the guy saying "Get the fuck out of here" and we were able to turn around and leave, pretty funny though.
