The takes about weed are real af. Especially in a world with such limited access to mental health resources or education, reliance on weed can be too freeing. It's good to learn to chill out, but entirely relying on a substance to manage your mind isn't a good long term strat. Damn I straight up disagree with 90% of these answers. The dad thing seems like less of a gift for the kid and more of a gift for himself and it feels shitty he framed it like he is helping the kid. If the kid and dad are close and the dad knows about his stress over financials its kind of a slap in the face to spend 40k on something the kid didn't ask for while he is struggling. The LGBTQ moving in story, fuck it as long as the person moving out go for it, you don't need to tell your parents shit BUT I think its an AWFUL decision. If you haven't met these people irl you legit don't even know if you like them. Its a story as old as time where you meet someone online and you're close as fuck but you meet in person and the vibes are irreversibly off. This isn't even beginning to mention how moving in with someone could just go fucking atrociously. I think the parents have legitimate concerns and I'm scared this person is focusing way too much on the gay aspect and not the "I'm moving across state boarders with people I have never met irl even once before".

The apple store did the same exact thing with my airpods. One of mine had that buzzing defect and online it said I was eligible for the recall they did. The guy at the store confirmed it and everything. Then they went to the back for like 20 minutes and came back to say “yeah i dont know why but the system says we cant replace it even tho we should be able to sorry” Had to buy new ones.

I'm very late but as someone who quit vaping like a month ago: don't start. Sure it's relatively fun when you start and it's nice having a lot of flavors. But eventually you are going to get tired of having to step out and get some nicotine or you'll realize how much money you spend. Then you'll want to quit and it sucks having the craving for something that barely gave you any pleasure in the first place.

As a psychologist and a serial mediator, I have something to add to the mediation question. Mediating is 90% just repeating what the parties involved said and making it somewhat clearer so that the other person understands. You'd be surprised at how little people actually listen to one another when arguing. Also, it is completely fine to not want to mediate all the time, people don't get how difficult it can be to run in circles on a topic, especially if you understand both sides of the argument.

I think I really needed to hear what Aiden said about weed. I'm the exact person he's describing - smoked from a super young age, and just kinda stagnated until now, 27, when I'm finally actually doing something with my life. If I could have told my younger self anything, it would have been to fulfill myself in other ways and learn skills, be productive.

I work the night shift during the weekends and go to college during the day. You can fix your sleep schedule by popping some melatonin like 2 hours before your normal bedtime so you're sleepy by then. The alternative is you could also stay up longer than usual, caffeine pills will help you do that if you don't like coffee.
