Nicks concept of friendships aren’t binary is really helpful to me as a silly autistic. It made me realize that I view friendships as “friend or not friend,” instead of “this friend was made this way and that’s the limitation on our relationship.” And the latter is a much healthier way of viewing relationships and helps balance your effort that you put into it.
