In terms of the podcast continuing after he dies, I 100% agree with Ludwig. I've witnessed two major podcaster deaths and in both cases the podcast continued, didn't try to fundamentally change anything, and the audience loved it. Giant Bomb in 2013 had a very authentic and heartwarming tribute episode to Ryan Davis (the host) the week he died, then continued just as authentically. The way people either genuinely have to cope with celebrity deaths or project other deaths in their lives onto their favourite celebrities is a real phenomenon and that form of public group therapy provides a useful service. I don't think it's toxic in the lens of parasocial relationships and I don't think Ludwig being clouted out of his mind changes anything.
