It’s that time again - a new release of Seeds of Chaos, and this update might be our most significant one ever. It sees the release of our core mechanic overhaul, a project that we have been working on behind the scenes for a long time. If I were to talk about all the changes we have made, I would be here all day, so instead, I’ll just tell you about the major ones and you can find out the rest for yourselves.
First up, the skill system has been entirely overhauled to be more streamlined, and, as a result, a larger part of the game. In the old version, there were some skills that were hardly ever used, and now that is no longer the case. We have also introduced a more nuanced damage system, with the damage Rowan accrues over time becoming wounds that hamper his progress. We have also redesigned the spy and forge systems, allowing the player more control over how they function, and what benefit they provide.
That’s not all though - Cla-Min’s shop has returned with a ton of new items to buy, we’ve added a new notification system to inform you of skill rolls, wounds and more, visual clues on the status page to give you a rough idea of Rowan’s guilt and corruption levels, and introduced an end of week report screen to give the player a summary of all the changes that take place during the week. To facilitate these changes, we’ve expanded, reworked and changed dozens of events. Both Helayna escape routes saw considerable changes, over 25 map and castle events now sport new routes and outcomes depending on Rowan's skills and choices and up to 40 events were adjusted to make better use of the skill system. Almost every map event in the game was touched upon in some capacity, be it in terms of flavour or rewards. In addition to that, Orciad has undergone extensive testing, and should now offer a much more newcomer-friendly experience for first-time players. This was a massive undertaking for us, and with it we see the completion of a major milestone. There's still a little more to come on the mechanics front for the next release, but we'll be discussing that in the next News from the Six Realms.

NEW EVENTS
Even though we have been focusing on getting the new mechanics finished on time, we still managed to work on adding some new content alongside it. This release sees the completion of Draith’s NPC arc for act one, with two new events for everyone’s favourite dark elf beastmaster twink. We also have four new job events for Alexia, and one new NPC arc event for Cla-Min.
We’ve also revised quite a lot of work in order to improve it. Hooky has been working on the intro, rewriting the first Rowan x Alexia scene, and all the interactions between Alexia and Andras to bring it closer in line with the current level of writing in the game. Winter has begun revising Liurial’s events in order to form a cohesive narrative for her NPC arc, and has completely rewritten two of her events, as well as made small changes to a number of others.
This month we have four new sex scenes and four revised sex scenes.
