News From the Six Realms #58 - Farewell Hell Year

So, this is the last newsletter for the year, sure seems to have come around fast, despite all the shit that has happened over the past 12 months. Last month was a pretty good one - we got the release out on time, and although there were a few teething problems due to the changes to the research UI, we soon got those sorted, and backers seemed to enjoy the new content. As usual, we are already hard at work on the next one, so we can meet our usual bi-monthly release deadline.
"What is going to be in it?" I hear you cry? Well, all the writers are busy doing their part - Winter will be picking up where he left off last month and continuing the Shaya NPC arc, as well as working on a new NTR event for the Jezera Path. Rein will be doing a bit more work on the Nasim content, as well as working on the rewriting necessary for the X'zaratl NPC arc. Hooky will be continuing to improve the Greyhide content, and moving back onto the Fae if he has the time. Dark Master has already written some new goblin content, and will be working on improving the journal, while our newest writer Exegie is looking at Draith.
On the art side, Sommy is already busy with the Jacques alternative of the Rastedel cinematic CG that was added last release, and is working on bringing the current Draith CGs more in line with the game's aesthetic. I've already gotten the sketches for this month's CGs back from MDN (as well as half the lineart) and I will start sharing them with the backers today.
On the programming side, I have started to work on converting all mechanic content in the game into the new format, necessary for the mechanics improvement update, but that is still at least two releases away. Dragoon is currently streamlining the user interface further, as well as adding a number of new transitions to make the game look better, and implementing further fixups.
That's all for today. We'll be talking more about our plans for the near future and the push to finish act I in the new year, but for new, barring any disasters, the next release is scheduled for January 31st.
