Some thoughts on a proper journal
🕑 Added 2017-04-15 14:00:10 +0000 UTC Hey guys,One of the things on the plan, as you might remember, is getting the current version as polished as it can be, and part of this is getting around to adding a proper journal. Doomsage politely offered some suggestions the other day, so I wrote up a proper plan, and I thought I'd share it with you in case you had any extra thoughts. DM has already made a good stab at the codex, and I'm writing up game terms. Then we'll work on the synopsis' of each event (with different text for all possible outcomes) to make up the bulk of event log.

I think it's a very handy idea. During the playthrought of last update I sometimes struggled to keep in mind all events that happened, because some of them were needed as prerequisites for other events. This should fix the issue. Also, calendar with deadlines will be quite useful.

Yeah, and then every new release will have at least 3 new cgs, which I'm hoping will help. :)

No, I'm going to do 3 months with no public releases and see how it works out. As for putting the price up, maybe if things don't improve, but at the time being I'm just going to make this one change, again we can think about this in 3 months depending on things go.

That sounds viable. Guess nobody will be upset because of that. BTW do you have already decided what you were pondering about in Thoughts on future releases and Thoughts on thoughts? And what do you say to my thoughts in my comment to Thoughts on thoughts regarding releases and rewards?

Not sure yet, may push the next release back a little to add the frame work and one or two of the features.

Sounds nice and sound. I especially like how you intend to incorporate the design of the access. Do you have any timetable yet? Can we expect the new features already in the next release or must we yearn for another more distant one?

Yeah, the castle stuff has made it a bit more complicated than originally thought, but hopefully this'll be useful. If not, we'll make a more in detail "help" thing.
Thank you for doing this. Some of the game's mechanics are a bit hard to grasp. It'll be awesome to have something that explains them and the things that change their values in detail.
