The Usual Update

So the public release is out now, and I assume people like it since I haven't had any hate mail (besides 4chan of course :)). The coverage on Lewdgamer brought a nice boost to traffic (usually the game gets gets 100-200 downloads a day on the main site, the last two days have been 750+) and a small one to pledges. Still waiting for that big bump though. I was hoping things would start to pick up a bit when the decent sized monthly updates were in full swing, but that hasn't been the case yet. I hate all the placeholders in the game as much as you guys do, but all I can do is keep working hard and putting out releases and keep hoping. It'd be a shame if the game ends up with a lot of black screens where there should be art, but I'd rather include content even if it is just text than exclude it.
Moving on to something a bit more positive - the next release. The major thing in the next release is, of course, your first society decision. This will determine whether you swing toward order or chaos, as well as have a big impact on your relationship with a number of people within the castle. Don't automatically assume that order = good and chaos = bad either, as too much order is just as bad as too much chaos (think Moorcock - a society with too many laws carrying draconian punishment is about as desirable as one with none.).
In addition, there'll be the usual host of new events, ruler and exploration, some that will of course be sexual in nature. Art wise, I've got Keidi working on the missing Rosarian knight sprite, and I've commisioned Erick to work on the backgrounds for the keep scene, to give it a bit more atmosphere / narrative heft (see above for the one currently in progress). As a bonus, I've also got momdadno working on the first image for the X'zaratl scene, and hopefully that will be ready in time as well.
So there you have it. Hoping to have this one out to the backers by the end of the month, and the public two weeks later as always. Lost a bit of time due to moving house, but still confident on the deadline.

That's a fine idea, and I've nothing against that, but there's reasons events are this way at the moment. Going to write a quick post to explain.

I feel like some events are being a bit limited by only having 2 choices. There should be a "middle ground" in some events. Personally i'm not a fan of male on male but i can steer away from that in the game. But to make an example When Andras comes to Rowan for some release, Rowan refusing should make Andras instead threathening to take it out on Alexia. Rowan can then either sacrifice himself to save Alexia or be in debt to Andras, meaning he essentially get -1 favour or have to side with Andras if he ever has to make any sort of choice between the twins. Or ofcourse just let Andras take it out on Alexia.
That makes sense, it's cool to see the game be so reactive to player decisions!

Any major decisions will, and some smaller ones depending on the circumstances. For example, with this one if you go with order, those that want to get ahead via class / status will like you more, while the more traditional followers of chaos, or those who believe strength should determine rank will like you less.
You said that the order vs chaos decision will have an impact with the relations we have at the castle. Do all decisions have some sort of affect on related parties?
