Notes on the next release
🕑 Added 2016-11-16 15:18:13 +0000 UTC Hello all,As we crawl closer to the next version release, I wanted to talk to you a little about it. The backers have already seen some of this information, so they'll have to bear with me, but there'll be some new stuff too.
First, the good news - Due to the amount of time this release has been in production, plus the addition of a second writer in DM, it is going to be the largest release yet. Both the new explorable map system and the complete overhauling of the castle management are significant, but in addition to that, there's also a number of new story narrative scenes, castle and world events, as well as two new sex scenes.
The less good news is due to the amount of new content, I've had to reuse some art where I would have preferred new stuff. Also, I have been unable to commission everything I need, so there is some art missing, and unfortunately this includes CGs for the new sex scenes. These will be added however, as more money filters in, over the next few releases, and hopefully as the game gets bigger funding will start to improve so this is less of an issue. The main focus at the moment is to push on with content regardless.
Onto the question you are all more interested in I suspect - When? If everything keeps moving along as it has been, I'm hoping to get the next release to the backers in 1.5 - 2 weeks, and although I can't guarantee it due to some of the work being done by other people, I think it is a pretty safe bet. If it should have to slip for some reason, it won't be a long amount of time. After that, it'll be the usual two week wait for the public release.
And to finish, above you can see some work in progress from Keidi of a new character the backers have already seen in a less rendered state, Indarah. Still some rendering to be done on the clothing, but she's almost finished now. She's from the Dragon's Tail, the archepelego of islands in the east of the six realms, and she'll be in charge of managing the player's tavern.
