Here's what we've been up to this week, Starting with a Word from Vixel!
2/11 update:
Hey floofs, happy new week!!
Last week I improved some Adventures stuff to make it more intuitive, added some developer scripts to make it easier to position cameras for cutscenes and interactive areas, and did some cleanup in our menu systems to prepare for future touchscreen navigation improvements on phones. Also worked with Carrot on more visual effects design for the new rooms coming in Act 4. There's a fair bit of water in some of the rooms, and it's a perfect opportunity for snazzy shimmer effects and reflections!
This week I'll be working on a few remaining Adventure todos and playtesting the Adventures; prototyping a couple menu designs to see how they feel with touchscreen input; and misc todos we need done before the next build. Have a lovely week! <3

On my end, I've been needing to give my hand a break again :( - thumb and pinky have been giving me issues. So I've been kinda taking it easy. That said, I'm also pushing ahead with some side content while the new main content is being prepped :>
Next up, I've got to finish this river/waterfall animation, I swear, I've animated every kind of body of water at this point in this game lmao.
After this is done, I'll have one more big room left! Then that's pretty much it for location assets for Act 4! I've got a couple animations in the works, aaaand then a few systems and what not, and we'll be good to go! I also finished a few sprites, but I'm not showing those ;)
Still probably a good month or two out. Especially considering this is when we might do our credit sequence and stuff...? I dunno, I'll figure that out later.
OK! Short-ish update. I'll see ya guys next week!

Ooof, thats annoying af. I wonder if someone has made a disability tool for one handed stuff that might accommodate you. I remember something called pinky gestures, i wonder if they made a phone app to do just that. (pink gestures was an app that let you mind different one finger gestures to an different key commands, then blutooth connect it to the device. Then you place the touch pad near your drawing hand and then swipe/poke/double tap/hold, on it with a pinky. If its from things like using two finger to CTRL+Z etc, and your keyboard can do macros you could always change modes and turn combos into single button presses.

It’s actually my hotkey hand that has problems :0! I get thumb issues when playing on a controller for a while, and then pinky issues with heavy pinky hotkeys

Did you injure your hand? I cant remember, if you did ignore this suggestion. I find if my hand is getting fatigued from long sessions of pen holding, i find having padding for my wrist helps or using a strechy fabric to support my thumb joint, by essentially wrapping it close to the position i want it. Also seen people 3D printing forearm pen holders for fingers to rest in. I was gonna see if i could make one with 3D printing and then cast it in silicone, to avoid putting pressure on the pen to hold it. But thats all experimentation.
