Morrre coding last week! I'm still upgrading various game scripts to use all that spiffy new database stuff I highlighted a couple weeks back. It's going well! But there's a bit more code to update than I anticipated. I'm planning another tech update in a few weeks to talk about the process and show off what's changed!
Super eager to move on with Act 3! I'm hoping to get these todos wrapped up soon. :O
Later this week I'll be lurking at the Furry Siesta convention in Dallas! Will keep steady at TFOL progress in the days surrounding!

On my end - I've been prepping the next animation on aseprite! NOT GONNA LIE this one was a HUGE BITCH to put together lmao. This was using the older method (not the Toonboom method) - since I started it forever ago. BUT IT HAD A CAMERA CHANGE. Which ended up being A LOT more of a headache than I figured xD
Anyways, it took some brain power effort but I hacked it together to get something more presentable for Vixel. PRESENTABLE IN QUOTES, look at this shit up there lmao.
Since these animations get kinda long (this one's almost 100 frames? They aren't all unique) They'll end up being PRETTY MASSIVE IN SIZE to just import flat images. So visually organizing what's a re-useable loop is super important!
Aside from that asset, I've been making some statue assets! Act 4's new location will have a lot of lore objects, one being statues! Important critters throughout history! I decided a couple years ago I wanted that to be the case, but only recently have I been cooking with it and coming up with cool shit :> I'll share them a lil' later. For now take my word for it x)
ANOTHER SUPER COOL THING WITH ACT 4 AND LORE SHIT - My friend has been making LANGUAGES for their own story project/comic. And he's letting us use it in the game! Before, I had some glyphs and things I made, but largely it was for show. The language was pure gibberish. BUT THIS NOW MEANS WE CAN ACTUALLY HAVE A DECIPHERABLE LANGUAGE IN THE GAME! So fucking stoked! I was doing some "lore spotting" the other day to see all the things I gotta write for now. Lots of things will be auto translated, but there will be some extra stuff that isn't translated, for the fun of others figuring it out.
guhhh, there's so much cool shit in the works Dx can't waaaaaaaait till it's actually in!
