Starting with a word from Vixel!
3/14 weekly update:
Happy Pi Day, floofs! :}} Last week I made more progress on the Upgrade/v2 project, squashing bugs and repolishing things I broke.
Been playing the original game on one screen and v2 on the other. I keep a running list of issues, stop periodically and fix those, then pick up where I left off. Stuff's coming together! And there's still some rough edges. I'll be getting Carrot another test build sometime tonight for another round of feedback.
Here's our Upgrade/v2 roadmap. I'm currently working on the first two items together:
- Solo playtesting until obvious bugs are gone. <--
- Test builds for Carrot, back-and-forth with me to fix bugs and re-polish details. <--
- Share a test build with a bigger group for community feedback.

On my end, I've been doing a few things!
First, I've been reaching out to another set of visiting/permanent critters to make some progress on their sprite assets! Like this guy!
I've also started a bit of brainstorming on this month's content! We're gonna keep it simple this time, so Vixel doesn't have a buncha shenanigans to code/bandage like the ladies booty line up xD!
He's been making good progress on the 2.0 build though! SOON @v@
Other than that, I started messing with the pose for the next 3D loop! Get an egg shoved in my bun, and watch her pop it out ;) Should be fun!
Other than that, I've been doing some painting IRL! Interior house painting. We got our bathroom finished, and I just finished up priming the area to paint.
I've been kinda in the middle of moving rooms in my place. So a bit of last week was spent clearing/cleaning a room, and prepping it for paint! CHOOSING PAINT SUUUUCKS. But I think I settled on something finally xD! I'll test tomorrow once it's light and we'll see x)
SO Excited for this move though! It's so much more space Dx! My room is hella cramped these days. Still gotta paint the whole room, steam clean the floors, then I can start moving stuff over. Hopefully I can get the painting done this weekend... we'll see.

It doesn’t innately - but I do all my viewport stuff with Simplify on, which will reduce things like subdivision and particles, but only on the viewport. You can then specify if it does anything for the render. This way I can get viewport animation playback at 15fps (which is what these are), AND I can just hit render and it’ll take care of making it look pretty.

oh really? thats pretty good for just the viewport. Does cycles up the mesh resolution? Cool Must. blink.. cant.. stop staring.

It’s just the eevee viewport x) I do a cycles render when it’s actually time.

NOTE: unless you're rendering those objects for a GAME, i recommend not caring about how much extra subdevisions you make. Or use a smooth tweak for those curves. ;)
