Got some fun stats to share with y'all! But first let's start with A Word from Vixel!
Hiya floofs! :}}
Last week I continued fleshing out the Dustin minigame, adding another attack and polishing some game mechanics. The minigame is almost ready to show, so I'll keep pushing hard to get it into this month's upcoming build!
Also scripted the Penny & Mabel date you all voted for last month! ^^
Once Dustin gets the shovel, he builds up the minigame arena over time. (You'll be able to interact with him in each stage of construction.) So I did some scripting to bring in related assets & conversations.
This week is a doozy! :O I've got a ton of work tomorrow to finish bringing Dustin's minigame from its side project into the main game. Then I'll be making the monthly builds! After that I'll be doing some placeholders for the next date & Act 2 finale scripting to help us jump start next month's content. ^^

We're getting down to the wire, so we'll be doing what we can to shoot out the build soon!
On my end I've finished up the Mabel/Penny/Plant illustration! Have a sneak peek!
Then I also got to doodling some new concepts of some new act 3 critters! In particular, Mabel's Mom 👀
HUBBA~!
I also did some particle effects for the mini game. Should be fun!

Vixel also got some stats on the code for the game!
These are the stats for the hand-coded portion. Custom written stuff entirely by Vixel! Not including re-written or anything we've since ditched. So the actual amount of work is even more than this.
52,000 lines of code! fuuuuuck!
Then, if we were also including the plug-ins and established systems, (things that still might need to be seriously tweaked/hacked) - we're looking at this!
More than half a million! BRUH.

I'd like to get some way to get the stats on all of our game docs too. I know our general Game Doc and Act 1 portions were about 60 or so pages, and Act 2 is about 60 pages as well.
Since we've switched to Obsidian, there's been a TON of content we've done there for the non-linear content, and all the progress we've done on Act 3/4 already.

Fuck yeah, really happy to see this project continue like it does at the moment ^w^ would love to see the source code, but it's probably not open I guess xD
