Let's start with A Word from Vixel!
Heya floofs! <3
Last week I tied up loose ends with new dialogue and events we're introducing at the end of Act 1. These upgrades will make the ending of Act 1 more impactful and help ease the transition into Act 2 content.
Also continued reviewing the game's code architecture to come up with better designs. Been exploring a database and code generator to help reduce some of the project clutter and custom scripts we use for savegames and dialogue. A code generator is an exciting prospect because it would reduce the risk of typographical bugs and free more codewriting time to spend on other scripts.
I've been working on a fresh project running the latest version of Unity alongside our existing project. This has let me prototype some design improvements without the clutter or risk of breaking our main project. When I'm done I'll either be able to port our old content into the new project, or take the solutions I find in the new project and carry them backward.
This week I'll be scripting the Penny + Mabel date and looking to bring Dustin's minigame into the main game. Then it'll be time for monthly builds. :)

On my end, I've gotten a bit of work on the Penny/Mabel/Plant illustration :> Just a bit though, check it out!
Just barely dropping the flat colors in it - Should be done in time for the update this month.
I've also started a bit of some assets on Act 4 stuff, sorta... Nothing too solid just yet, but roughing some stuff out ;>

Eye ball wise - Things seem to be getting managed! I just saw my Retinal specialist today, and they say despite all this dry eye, things are looking good. (This was very surprising and really good news). HE ALSO Okay'd me for a thing called ICL Surgery :O! It's basically a permanent contact lens. It's something I'm particularly excited (and nervous) about - as it would be a SERIOUS game changer O:! I use some pretty high prescription glasses and the distortion effects can be pretty brutal Dx! So I'm definitely looking into this opportunity. It's expensive as fuq, but I think it would be smart to jump on it...
Anywho, I'll keep taking things a bit easy on the eyes, while gettin' some work done. Things are lookin' up, and I'm definitely in higher spirits regarding this all :>
