This Week in the Forest! #70

2/28 weekly report:

Back working in the Upgrade project last week, squashing bugs! >:V I stayed focused on the Intro sequence and Bunny House, and exposed a slew of bugs & issues that were causing weird problems with cameras and triggering. These scripts have now been fixed, and should also be fixed for all the other areas as well! Aiming to keep debugging the rest of Act 2 this week so we can move on to Act 3 next.
I also took a detour to test a new 3rd party reflection shader we might try using for water pools in the forest. This gif is *just an experiment* so far, but here's a look at some of what the shader can do:

That reflection stuff is exciting! It's not necessary for the lake or anything, but our Act 4 area has some places that will really come to life with it I think :> It was something we wanted to explore as an option and it looks like it'll do what we need! We've got a few more tests to run it through though... Not to mention seeing if it works on all platforms :O!
On my end I've been making some more Patreon assets! The big ole dragon up there is Stormdrake! I've got to reach out to the next bunch of folks to get some more assets rolling. I'll try to do at least several a month while doing the other stuff for the game.
I've continued pecking away at some unfinished areas in Act 3's dialogue, and have been continuing some clean up/polish on The Blessing banner. Check out the new icon!
With the revamp of this banner, I wanted to do some studies on bell shapes and aesthetics. I doodled this guy up!
And I was in a drawing mood, so I doodled some buns! Enjoy!

Can't wait!
Just make sure to have an option to disable shaders! Some computers are too weak to handle it, so I think that doing that would prevent said devices from melting haha.
