I've been working to make the remaining Act 2 scripts I imported a couple weeks ago compatible with the upgrade project's new designs. My goal last week was to finish script updates by today - I got most of the way there! The game runs again, but as expected there's a bunch of bugs and broken features to iron out now.
This week I'm doing a cleanup pass to double-check ALL the scripts in the game for issues. There's hundreds of scripts to methodically review, so I'm working specific-to-general so that each phase gives me a bigger set of scripts I know are working correctly!
I've already reviewed all the scripts that load as soon as the game starts; these turn on the save system, load sounds and music, adjust the game window size, and do some other setup. I'm currently sifting through scripts for the Start Menu, which include Play and Options submenus, and the ability to play movies and dialogue in the Gallery. Next I'll review scripts that run when starting a new game, including spawning the player, showing the dialogue box, walking around in the game's opening cutscene, saving the game etc. Finally there's Central Forest and the free-roaming areas, which need all the other features of the game to work correctly, including spawns, dates, quests, cutscenes, minigames, showing the Inventory and Notebook, and so on.
Hoping to finish the cleanup pass in 1 to 1.5 weeks, and then start adding new content! The current estimate for our next build is still sometime in February. Will update progress next week!

My side, I've just finished ALLLL of the writing for The Blessing of the Bells event. It ended up being QUITE longer than I initially planned, the original document for it was around 35000 characters of writing. And it was supposed to be just kinda a mini event xD.
All the writing for it is finalized, and portrait'd.
10 NSFW illustrations are finished, 2 more are in the coloring phase, and 2 more I need to finish drawing out. The ending illustration for the event is done, and the beginning illustration for the event is roughed out.
16 entire illustrations for this thing! It's kinda crazy lmao.
