He took a deep breath and clarified: “Everyone expects us to keep fighting in the Land of Waterfall. Sending more troops will only convince them that we’re sticking to the same plan.”
The elders slowly began to nod, finally catching on.
But Onoki’s voice turned firm and sharp: “The Fire Country has more than one border. So why should we limit ourselves to just the Land of Waterfall?”
Their eyes lit up with realization. Could it be—?
“Yes. Exactly that.” Onoki confirmed, a sly smile appeared on his face.
