I understand the pessimism about NATO responding but they damn well better if article 5 is invoked. Otherwise there’s no point to the whole thing. If 9/11 was worthy of article 5 (something that doesn’t really seem to have been evaluated much in the past 20 years), an invasion of territory of a NATO member most certainly should result in a mobilization.

I participated in the recent exercises. I’m surprised it’s not known news that we have troops all over the Baltic. I was with Brit’s in Poland for like 8 months.
