What a moving film! Brendan Fraser's performance was incredible. While this movie is an intensely emotional and heavy film, it's well worth the watch. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

Wow. Too often these days I watch a movie and feel absolutely nothing. Every minute of this movie I was drawn in and feeling so much. Sure I wept at several key moments, but more than that I felt every scene. What a honest, human story about pain, hate, shame, and how we all have things we hate about our own nature that we feel powerless to change. We always look for simple boxes to put people in, good or evil, when in reality everyone is both. Life is so complicated and most of us are just trying to do the best we can. In a story of a broken family we are always trying to identify who is to blame. I really enjoyed how the movie showed that sometimes it can be so messy and no one is solely responsible.
