I enjoyed having the benefit of your expert insight while rewatching this masterpiece. I never even would’ve thought about something like how difficult it would’ve been for the camera operator to avoid slipping in the mud. I would love to see a scene by scene breakdown if you ever decide to go back and do it. If you like long takes, you may want to check out Birdman. It’s a strange film but it’s wonderfully directed and Michael Keaton, Edward Norton and Emma Stone all give great performances.

Thanks for the reaction Jax! WW1 gets less attention than more recent stuff and people don't realize the horrors of trench warfare, mustard and chlorine gas etc I've always been interested since I found out my grandfather was in the trenches of France in 1916-17. (I found out after his death - he never talked about it during his life)

Such an incredible movie! Love that the bigger name actors played the smaller roles. It really let the actors playing the leads to stand out so much more. Funny you mention Robb Stark losing a brother again when that brother is the actor who played Tommen!

Stunning movie, I wish I could have seen it in IMAX. The Bodyguard on Netflix is another good show with Richard Madden (Robb Stark) and it's not very long.
