I always saw Jades coldness towards Nate as something she does to people she can tell are trying to fake who they are, or at least dont accept themself, which is why once Nate is more himself, like with the baklava where she actually laughts because its kinda cute and comes from himself and in the same way she agrees at the end to join him because he is himself and not trying to act anyway, but also isnt shy about asking her.

Alright, time to give you some answers to the uncomfortable questions. So Ted made a little throwaway joke about not getting any spots on his khakis in like a week. You'd think that due to the hose-like nature of our junk, despite the close proximity to our pants, it would be easily avoidable. The problem comes from using a urinal, and a little thing affectionately referred to as Splash-back. It just happens. Stream of water hitting a hard surface, it just splashes. Its why guys tend to stand close to the urinal. But every now and then, you relax a little, you aren't crowding it all close, and then it happens. From out of nowhere, a rogue drop... hits you in the fucking EYE. The panic that floods your head in that moment, you PRAY that you're on a boat that's flooding, and that's why you just felt a droplet of something hit you in the goddamn eye. Your immediate thought is "Great, this is gonna be my pirate origin story. This is how I lose my eye.". Sitting may be a little inconvenient, but that's definitely a boon to not have to deal with that.
