This episode is my second favourite of the entire series and comprises only the second of 2 episodes of TV I've shed tears at. That moment when Jamie flinches as Roy goes in for a hug, followed by the immediate relief and safety to be vulnerable.

I cant quite remember the exact line Ted said in an earlier episode, but he said something about how his Dad always was a lot harder on himself than on others, which I think he said because of what we learn in this episode.

Itβs not exactly a spoiler, as they never point it out, but the doctor who treated and then discharged Dr. Sharon at the hospital is later shown to be Royβs sister, Phoebeβs mother.

Exactly how I feel about it. It feels like new writers took over who didn't understand what made season 1 so great.

I agree. I thought season 2 was a pretty big step down from season 1, but it still has its moments. Season 3 is a disaster imo, as if it was scripted by completely different writers.

you arent talking about the show overall are you? this show is great all the way through. so much so that people want more seasons.

It feels like it comes out of nowhere but it makes everything about Ted make perfect sense. The show is nothing but downhill from here unfortunately.
