I didn't know Disney changed some of the movie! I love that the movie has a happy ending. Now that line that Ben Stiller says at the end has such a different meaning!

Jax commenting that girl scouts can be terrors (and that she was a Brownie/Scout herself) brought back memories of my wife and I leading a troop of "Daisies" (precursor to Brownies) in the early 90s. They loved to do dodgeball with nerf balls!

I read an interview with Ben Stiller or Vince Vaughn or both years ago. They said that they originally had Globo Gym winning to subvert expectations and not do the trope of the underdog winning, but that ending tested badly so the studio made them change the ending. That final after credit scene where Ben Stiller says “there’s your happy ending Alsowas added because of this. Also, I noticed a couple of differences in the Disney Plus version of the movie. After he helps the cheerleaders win Justin Long comes back into the scene and kisses the cheerleaders. So it makes more sense when she shouts “I love you” during the finals match. One other difference I noticed from the theatrical release is that Patches does not say “ You’re about as useful as a poop flavored lollipop”, he says “You’re about as useful as a cock flavored lollipop “ which I find much funnier.

I almost forget how funny this movie is until I see it again and it is just so funny! "You're adopted, your parents don't even love you" is still something I want to say to a kid that pisses me off some day. I've got it pocketed and ready to use. Knowing you were a cheerleader now makes me wonder, have you seen Bring It On and if so, did you like it? That movie came out just before my freshman year of high school and the cheerleaders were obsessed with it so I wonder if you went though that too!

The scenes between Goodman and Kate crack me up even more knowing that Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are married. You'd never know it based off how they interact in this movie!
