I had my suspicions about Jack from the start, until this episode when he says he never worked a day in his life...and the way Tony Dalton delivers that line I knew 100% he was just a rich, cluless, idiot who loved swords (I wasn't familiar with his comic counterpart until then, but now I know about Swordsman). I also absolutely love the shot towards the end when Clint and Kate are walking away from the camera and he hands her the arrow. That moment of them both holding it before she takes it is such a great "passing of the torch" moment. It's the moment Clint fully accepted her as his partner and knew she'd be the perfect successor. And I really need to see more of Kate and Yelena teaming up. Both Haley and Florence work so well off each other.

ive actually heard from multiple sources, though it is tough/chewy, that reindeer is actually really good.

Totally agree with you on Florence Pugh! She's been my favorite new addition to the MCU probably since Phase 1. She fits in so perfectly and her chemistry with Hailee Stenfeld is so good!!! She was a perfect combination of funny, charming, and menacing! I don't think I'm being too out there when I say I think we're gonna see "Academy Award Winner" attached to her name sooner than later.

Hawkeye season 1 is set during Christmas at the end of 2024, actually. For a while there after Endgame, the MCU was running ahead of our real world time. We're "catching up" around end of 2025.

Such a good scene right up until Yelena says "It will not be difficult for me to complete this assignment." It's so jarring and doesn't fit at all. There's no way she would let something like that slip. But the writers needed a way for Kate to know that this is a mission for Yelena and not just personal.

That's the face I've been waiting for! Your face when you saw Kingpin!

Daredevil Season 1 happened between Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 and Avengers: Age of Ultron. That puts the events of Daredevil Season 1 in 2015. The blip (Avengers: Infinity War) was 2018. Hawkeye Season 1 is set in 2023. Hope this helps!

This episode was probably my favorite thing in the post Endgame MCU...Kate and Yelena together were so fantastic. They should have their own show...or movie...The show has been ominously hinting at "the big guy" all season, so the reveal of Kingpin was awesome...it's funny how when they announced the first slate of mcu "tv-shows" this was the one I was the *least* interested in...and it wound up being my favorite.... There's a new daredevil MCU show coming out in 2025 that is going to *kind-of* address things...the rumors go back and forth, but it sounds like they are going to bring back most if not all the characters from the Defenders/netflix universe and the mcu will kinda just stay quiet about the specifics of what happened in those shows, and move forward integrating them into the MCU.

During a live watch-along of Black Widow, Kevin Feige answered a fan's question on twitter through the Marvel Studios account. The fan asked if we were ever gonna know whether Yelena survived the Snap. At the time, Kevin responded that we'd know soon. I had a feeling she had vanished. It makes sense. She's new to the MCU. They had to make it so that she didn't age a whole lot. There are a handful of people who vanished for five years and lost someone dear to them by the time they returned. For instance back in WandaVision, Monica Rambeau lost her mom Maria to cancer during that time period. However, Yelena has it the worst. Her sister Nat gave her life for the soul stone which was required to resurrect all the vanished. That last whistle at the end of Black Widow 2020 was probably the last time the two sisters saw each other in person, and only Clint was the closest to saying goodbye to the fellow Avenger. Vincent D’Onofrio kinda ruined the surprise for some. He tweeted his excitement for the show when we were just getting the first two episodes. Some fans knew that Kingpin wasn’t just an enemy to Spider-Man and Daredevil in the comics, but he also had some showdowns with Hawkeye.
