Airplane! Is completely inappropriate, funny as he'll and could never be made today. Granted people mid fifties and older get the cultural references more than young folks like Jacqueline, but still one of the best belly hurting laughs you'll have.

I highly recommend some dark comedies like The Banshees of Inisherin, Trainspotting, The Guard, Four Lions, The Death of Stalin, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths, etc. Are dark comedies big in America? I’ve often heard people say that Americans tend to prefer lighthearted, slapstick comedy over dark comedies that dive into real-life struggles, less escapism and more of a comedic take on actual problems. But then there are American films like The Big Lebowski, American Beauty, and Fargo, most of these being films from the Coen Brothers. It just seems that these types of films are rarer from American filmmakers compared to their non-American counterparts.

21 and 22 Jump Street are always a good laugh, but Airplane! is comedy/spoof 101 must watch. Although there are many jokes that I have seen many reactors miss (due to older references/movies/celebrities) , there are still enough that transcend time.

I have to agree with the mob, it's gotta be Airplane. It's the CHEESIEST, humorest movie that has absolutely stood the test of time. So many jokes and memes came from it.
