We saw such a different side of Katara in this episode! It's so cool that the three original characters are getting their own adventures with Zuko. After all they've gone through with him, it feels like a good way to mend their relationships.

Wow! That creates so much more backstory to this episode! I do like that theory.

There's a theory that when Hama (the 'witch') escaped her Fire Nation prison, the Fire Nation assumed she went back to her tribe, and that's where the intel that there was one last waterbender in the Southern tribe came from, as well as why - after experiencing her bloodbending - they decided it was too dangerous to take waterbenders in as prisoners any more... It is just a fan theory though.

The censorship in this one throws people off halfway in with the "Gone" usage. You're not the first one. It does do a good job guiding people back with the "I'm not taking prisoners today" line. So anyone who thinks she was captured can be brought back to the same starting point. Just remember she walked back in to that tent after a firebender killed her mother...so she probably saw...the aftermath of that...
