Shaun of the Dead is in my top ten favorite films of all time so I'm thrileed it's winning, but Psycho would be a great choice as it's one of the all-time greats in the horror genre, for sure.

The only reason that I will abandon campaigning for Psycho is the fact that once you watch Shaun of the Dead, I know people are going to want you to watch Hot Fuzz. And *that* movie… Is one of the best movies ever made.

I think you'd really enjoy Shaun of the Dead, Addams Family, and What We Do In the Shadows. They're all non-scary (but kinda scary-themed; bad stuff happens but they're all lighthearted comedies). Lamby can get you through all of those. Psycho is... not a funny movie, though it's a classic; I don't think you'd have fun watching it. Monster House is fun but not as good as the others in this poll IMO. Despite the poll leanings, I think Addams Family and What We Do In the Shadows are the best fits for your enjoyment. Shaun is a great film and good fun, but you really don't like zombies, and, well... it's a zombie apocalypse movie.
