3D models & rendering behind the scenes
🕑 Added 2021-11-22 15:57:32 +0000 UTCLearning 3D software and modeling accurate, real looking models is quite tricky and especially time consuming. It's been quite the challenge to get good at the software and to find enough reference for each and every part. The 3D scanner that we have now has helped massively and now enables us to model with pinpoint accuracy and create details that just aren't visible on photographs.
The grey GasGas MC65 on one of the images that I posted is a raw 3D scan. Unfortunately a raw scan cannot be used for renders, so each part has to be completely remodeled. We use Blender, Zbrush and Fusion 360 to do so.
Since all of this work is going on behind the scenes, all you see is usually the end-product, which is a completed render.
