"Captain."
"The captain is back."
Kaito folded his wings and landed steadily on the deck of the aircraft carrier.
Immediately, logistics personnel came over and handed him water and towels.
The rest of the Kaito team members also landed on the deck one after another, and some began to help dismantle the hang glider.
"Captain Mirukawa led the force again with zero casualties this time."
"Don't you see who led the force? Didn't Captain Mirukawa have zero casualties that time?"
"Of course! Captain Mirukawa is the Gale Wing of our Kirigakure!"
Faced with the endless compliments from all around, Kaito simply smiled brightly and didn't take them too seriously.
He waved his hand to signal his squad members to look over.
"Alright, quickly collect the equipment and return home early to hand over to First Squad and Forth Squad. You can rest for a while."
"Yes!"
"Long live Captain!"
The squad members under his command quickly sped up their movements, and the aircraft carrier and frigate quickly left the coastline and headed towards the Land of Whirlpool camp.
Kaito walked over to Blue and helped him take down and put away the hang glider together with the logistics staff.
Nearly five months have passed since the Kirigakure front launched a general attack on the Konoha camp.
Due to the failure of that general offensive, the war on the front lines between the Land of Water and Land of Fire subsided for a period of time.
However, the absence of war does not mean that Kaito can rest.
Within a few days, his new appointment was announced.
An 11-year-old jonin, he also serves as the squad leader of Kirigakure's new force, the Aerial Tactical Special Forces.
It also caused quite a stir in the front-line camp at that time.
Fortunately, Kaito had performed well in the previous two battles. First, he and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist attracted half of the Konoha ninjas out of the camp to lay the foundation for a great victory for the Kirigakure, and then he directly killed Manda on the battlefield, greatly reducing the losses of the Kirigakure.
Although the second battle was not as impressive as the previous one, he and Blue also killed more than ten Konoha ninjas.
Many people have seen Kaito's strength and achievements.
Moreover, as a medical ninja, Kaito had participated in front-line treatment earlier and had also gained recognition from some of the Kirigakure ninjas.
This also meant that Kaito no longer needed to use his "Shinso healing technique" to open up the situation. The commotion in the camp was quickly quelled after people who knew about Kaito's deeds spread the news.
However, this promotion also let more people know that a truly talented young man had appeared in the village.
Even the two new ninja swordsmen were overshadowed by Kaito.
After officially taking office as the captain of the "Flying Unit" and understanding the situation, Kaito was also shocked.
Kaito had thought that as a squad leader, he could at most lead one or two flying squads to fight. However, who would have thought that the more than 200 flying ninjas under the Flying Unit were only divided into four squads.
That’s right, there are four aircraft carriers, each of which belongs to an independent flying squad.
And because the captain and logistics are all composed of a few Chunins and a large number of Genins, they are also under the jurisdiction of the flying unit.
So Kaito is actually the supreme commander of this aircraft carrier.
The leap from a Chunin to a Jonin commander is a huge achievement.
Of course, there is still some gap between him and some Genin who directly become Kage.
After that, Kaito only had a general understanding of the operation mode of the flying unit and the situation of his own squad members.
The war between the Land of Water and the Land of Fire reignited.
Just as Kaito had expected, because of the previous defeat, even though Orochimaru forced back the Kirigakure troops by using a strategy that inflicted losses on both sides, he was able to save Konoha's front-line camp.
However, Konoha's military strength was still beginning to be stretched.
While Konoha continued to send reinforcements to the Land of Whirlpools, the other three great ninja villages that received the intelligence also increased their investment in the war.
First of all, the Sunagakure Village, which had originally intended to withdraw from the Great Ninja War, once again marched into the Land of Rivers, forcing the Konoha Western Army to not dare to reduce its troops at all. Not only was Jiraiya himself locked up at the border of the Land of Rivers, but Tsunade was also forced to rush to the front line again.
Immediately afterwards, the Iwagakure Village and the Kumogakure Village announced their alliance in a high-profile manner, and then the two villages fought to the homeland of the Land of Fire.
It was not until the Third Hokage of Konoha, Sarutobi Hiruzen, led a large number of reinforcements to support, and Konoha’s Yellow Flash Namikaze Minato also appeared, that the front line was stabilized with difficulty.
The intelligence from the Kirigakure Village also made it clear why Minato frequently appeared on various battlefields.
Flying Thunder God Jutsu.
Kirigakure simply gave up the idea of consuming a large number of troops to destroy the Konoha front-line camp in one go, and instead chose to rely on the advantages of the flying troops cooperating with the ground troops to continuously consume the manpower of the Konoha front line.
The annihilation of small units, destruction of strongholds, and cutting off of logistical supplies, as well as countless air raids, have made the reputation of the 'Kirigakure Air Tactical Special Forces' resound throughout the ninja world.
Although the Kirigakure did not actually build a camp within the territory of the Land of Fire, Konoha's defense line was retreating again and again, and even the front-line camp was moved back twice.
In fact, the eastern coastline of the Land of Fire is completely under the control of Kirigakure.
In this five-month-long tug-of-war, the most eye-catching person was not the current Minister of the Flying Unit, Harusame.
But the 11-year-old captain of the flying squad, Kaito who is the only one in the entire unit who does not need the help of equipment to fly,
Fast and flexible flight, a wide variety of long-range attack ninjutsu, melee weapons more than ten meters long, nearly unstoppable high-altitude bombing capabilities, and Blue's proficiency in flying equipment make him the most tacit wingman.
With the blessing of various advantages, Kaito became the most handsome guy in the sky above the battlefields of the Land of Water and Land of Fire.
With his frequent attacks, Kaito also made a name for himself in the ninja world, the Gale Wing.
Well, actually, Kaito himself feels a little embarrassed to hear this title.
When Kaito first came to prominence, it was given a variety of names.
There are all kinds of names like "Flying Bakugo" (Flying Explosion), "Frog Ninja", "Kirigakure Green Wing", etc.
It was only later, thanks to Kaito's continuous secret guidance from within, that he finally got a fairly acceptable title.
His outstanding performances time and time again, and his growing reputation, made Kaito extremely popular throughout the flying unit and even in the front-line camp.
Not to mention Harusame who is his direct superior, even Yagura no longer mentions the word "recruiting" in his recent conversations with Kaito.
Instead, he gradually began to put Kaito on a position where they could communicate on an equal footing.
After all, it can be said that most of the advantages of the Kirigakure Village on the front line are based on the excellent performance of the Flying Troops.
When ordinary flying ninjas were resting in the front-line camp, their chins were several centimeters higher than others.
However, even though the war at Kirigakure is going smoothly, the village is developing rapidly, and its strength is steadily increasing, it seems that everything is going well for Kaito, but it also has troubles that others don't know about.
Walking into his single cabin, Kaito casually threw the ninja tool bag to the foot of the bed.
His brows gradually furrowed, his hands hung down limply, and he sat down with a sigh.
Knowing the reason, Blue walked up to his master and patted his shoulder. He walked to the corner of the room with a helpless look on his face and sat down cross-legged.
“Ah, why is this General Pool such a pitfall!”
