"Water Style: Steam Eruption!"
The rapidly rising mist suddenly shook and exploded violently, knocking all the Konoha ninjas who were besieging Kaito to the ground.
Even the few ninjas who were farther away were burned by the high-temperature steam and had to retreat quickly.
Looking at the results of this "Steam Eruption", Kaito in the distance was also quite satisfied.
That’s right, Kaito is definitely not the type of person who would risk rushing into the crowd and using his ultimate moves.
The attack just now was used by the "water clone" summoned by Kaito, which rushed forward and released it forcefully.
The ninjutsu 'Steam Eruption' currently still belongs to the water-style ninjutsu, so the 'Water Clone' can naturally release it.
However, due to the insufficient amount of chakra in the water clone, even if the chakra is exhausted and released, the power will be much smaller.
It can barely be considered a disposable 'beggar's version of Steamed Dangerous Explosion'.
‘Next time, let's try to let the water clone rush in with the Egg Bomb, okay?’
Kaito was thinking mischievously.
But then he thought of the damn instability of the 'Egg Bomb’. If the water clone accidentally exploded next to him, the 'Egg Bomb’ would fall to the ground.
Kaito immediately shuddered and decisively gave up this dangerous idea.
He leaned forward and fought hand-to-hand with Blue to deal with several Konoha ninjas who were burned by steam and wanted to retreat.
Kaito looked around the battlefield helplessly.
Just as Yagura said at the end of the battle report.
Not long after the assault force returned to the front-line camp, after a short rest, Yagura once again led most of the ninjas in the camp to launch a general attack on the Konoha camp.
On the Konoha side, Orochimaru had only gone to encircle and suppress the escaped Seven Ninja Swordsmen, so it was naturally impossible for him to take all of them out.
At this time, there were more than a thousand people left behind in the Konoha camp, plus the defeated troops led by Orochimaru and Minato, for a total of about fifteen hundred combatants.
The Kirigakure army led by Yagura had a total of 2,500 people.
Together with the flying troops that had replenished their energy, everyone thought that this general offensive would be a one-sided battle that would crush everyone.
However, after the battle actually started, Kirigakure encountered tremendous resistance.
First of all, Orochimaru had the help of other senior ninjas this time, so he didn't have to be besieged by Yagura and his men. The two sides fought back and forth.
Similarly, Minato, who did not have to face the siege of the Hidden Mist's high-end combat forces together with Orochimaru, can be said to have completely let himself go.
He kept flashing among the Kirigakure Army like a swimming dragon, and no one could stop his efficient slaughter.
If it weren't for the fact that the Kirigakure frequently used large-scale water jutsu to wash away the Flying Thunder God Kunai on the ground, Minato's killing efficiency might have been several times higher.
And just like last time, Minato summoned Gamabunta again, and Orochimaru also summoned a new summoned giant snake.
The only difference is that this time the two giant summoned beasts no longer protect the Konoha ninjas, but instead try their best to launch an offensive against the Kirigakure ground forces.
And with the previous experience of Manda, the two summoned beasts were very cautious in their actions.
Although the corresponding attack efficiency has decreased a bit, it is more difficult to deal with.
It can be said that if it were not for the open terrain of the Konoha front camp, the Kirigakure flying force would also be cooperating with the ground forces to efficiently slaughter Konoha ninjas.
In this battle, Kirigakure really has no advantage at all.
After learning from the previous lesson, Konoha obviously changed its strategy. Since they have not been able to come up with a way to deal with the Kirigakure flying unit for the time being, they will just ignore it.
We'll have to see which side kills faster.
After colliding and separating from Orochimaru again, Yagura looked around the battlefield with a grim expression.
This kind of situation where both sides suffer losses is obviously not the result he wants.
If the Kirigakure Village fights with Konoha here and is ultimately unable to attack the Land of Fire, it will only end up becoming a stepping stone to the other three great ninja villages.
Orochimaru, who also stood still, licked his lips with his tongue and spoke.
"Yagura-san, the war does not seem to be going in the direction you expected."
Looking at Orochimaru's smiling face, and his complete indifference to the casualties of Konoha ninjas, it is not difficult to guess who formulated this tactic of hurting the enemy by a thousand and losing eight hundred of your own.
Not willing to be outdone, Yagura responded.
"If all these people die here, I'm afraid Konoha will be unable to face the siege of other great ninja villages next time, right?"
However, Orochimaru just smiled sinisterly.
"Yagura-san, there is no need to worry about such matters."
Yagura was helpless and stopped talking.
At this moment he finally understood the frustrating feeling of having the upper hand but having to compromise because the other party chose to fight for his life.
He wanted to continue to place his hopes on that little brat Kaito.
But even if Kaito exploded again and found an opportunity to kill the opponent's giant summoned beast, the efficiency of killing the enemy by Minato alone was enough to make the Kirigakure wary of him.
Seeing Orochimaru clearly determined to continue the confrontation with him and not paying any attention to anyone else.
Although Yagura had the courage to fight to the last drop of blood, his reason ultimately made him make the right decision.
He raised the iron hook in his hand and gave orders loudly.
"Kirigakure Ninjas, listen up, everyone retreat!"
As Yagura's order was issued, most of the Kirigakure ninjas, except for the Kaguya clan, breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, when fighting fiercely with the enemy, they also have to keep an eye out for the golden figure that may appear at any time. This feeling is not pleasant.
"Let's go, Blue."
Kaito took advantage of the fact that the enemy thought he was retreating, and after using his Shinsō to kill two of them, he decisively called Blue to run away with him.
However, this all-out offensive also allowed Kaito to discover some shortcomings of the flying unit.
What the Kirigakure ninjas are best at is actually releasing a large-scale "Hidden Mist Jutsu" at the beginning, and then relying on their skilled mist combat skills to engage in close combat with the enemy.
Moreover, in large-scale battles, Kirigakure ninjas would occasionally replenish the 'Hidden Mist Jutsu', and it would not be as easy for the enemy to dispel it as in small-scale battles.
However, in order to cooperate with the flying unit, everyone was clearly told before the battle not to release the "Hidden Mist Jutsu" at random, so as not to interfere with the flying unit's vision.
This caused the Kirigakure ninjas, whose individual qualities were originally slightly inferior to those of Konoha, to lose another advantage.
When the battle dragged on to a ninjutsu showdown, most of the people from the Kirigakure Village still needed to rely on the water environment to perform ninjutsu.
Konoha's various attributes and secret techniques made it feel like a fish in water.
There is another point that makes the Kirigakure flying unit not as eye-catching as in the previous battle.
There are too few explosive tags.
Due to Kirigakure Village's geographical location and the ninja attributes of the village.
The price of an explosive tag is several times more expensive than that of other ninja villages.
This also resulted in the flying troops being stingy in using what was clearly a very efficient means of killing the enemy.
But even with so many disadvantages, Kaito is still full of confidence in the next battle on the front line.
Looking back at the Konoha ninjas who did not leave the camp to pursue, Kaito had a smile on his face.
"It's still early. The hard times for those bastards in Konoha are just beginning!"
