"Captain, could it be that the intelligence is wrong? Why haven't we found it in such a long time?"
"You're the only one who talks too much! Even if you're wrong, the intelligence won't be wrong!"
At this moment, all members of the third team participating in this mission were waiting anxiously in front of the catapult.
As the person in charge of perception for this mission, Ao took Zabuza, Mei, and the accompanying cover of Kisame to search for the enemy near the designated route early in the morning.
After all, Kirigakure knows the approximate route of Konoha's escort troops, and Ao's perception range is large enough, so there is no need for anyone else to participate in the search.
Otherwise, once the flying unit is dispatched, it will be quick to find people, but it is more likely that they will be discovered by the enemy first, attracting more enemies.
Everyone could only wait anxiously here for news from Team Ao.
It’s not that these elite members of the Flying Unit lack determination. The ninjas present have done many missions of going deep behind enemy lines to cause sabotage.
But this time they went too deep. The Sunagakure Village and the Kirigakure Village were completely in the east and west directions of Konoha, so everyone couldn't help but be nervous.
Looking at the team members wiping their weapons over and over again, Kaito was actually a little anxious.
It wouldn't be a big deal if the mission failed, but he couldn't accept any of the four people who went to search for the enemy to have any accidents.
However, as the current team leader, Kaito must show enough calmness.
Just when Kaito was about to say something to boost morale.
In the distance, three consecutive green flares exploded in the sky.
"Haha, it looks like we've found the enemy!"
"Everyone, get ready for liftoff! Let's blow it up!"
"Yes!" xN
After Kaito finished speaking, he was the first to flap his wings into the air and look into the distance.
But deep down, he wasn't as relaxed as he said.
Because according to the original plan, Ao would quickly withdraw after locking the enemy from a distance, and then guide the flying troops to pursue the Konoha escort team.
After all, Konoha was an escort team, so they didn't need to hurry. The fact that the other party arrived here at the same time as expected also proved this.
But now Ao directly chose to fire a flare to notify, obviously encountering an emergency.
‘Did the enemy suddenly speed up their march, fearing that they would waste time turning back? Or have they discovered us, or even engaged us?’
Kaito frowned and fell into thought, but he couldn't be sure why Ao did this.
‘Although this place is remote, it doesn't necessarily mean that there are no other Konoha ninjas nearby. The visible range of the flare is much farther than the aftermath of the battle. Aren't they afraid of attracting others?’
‘And the fact that three flares were launched at the same time must mean that the situation is extremely urgent, but it is not the red danger signal.'
Seeing that more than half of the members had already taken off, Kaito simply stopped thinking about it.
‘Once we get to the scene, I will know about all these issues.’
Kaito immediately turned around and shouted.
"Blue follow me! The rest of you follow as soon as possible!"
After saying that, Kaito and Blue quickly rushed to the front and flew towards the direction of the flare.
The rest of the flying unit members immediately followed suit.
Kaito was only halfway into the flight, but with his excellent eyesight, he could already see smoke and dust rising in the distance.
Obviously the battle has begun.
Immediately afterwards, surging waves spread rapidly from one place, as if they were about to completely cover the path.
‘Kisame's Exploding Water Colliding Wave? We need to speed up!’
Kaito looked at his subordinates who had been left some distance behind him. He did not bother to wait for them at this time. He sped up again and rushed towards the battle.
And at this time.
Ao and his companions, who had originally come to investigate the enemy situation, were facing the siege of dozens of Konoha ninjas.
No one expected that Ao was still saying "The number of enemies seems a little too large, it doesn't look like they are just escorting Pakura alone" just a second ago.
The next second, three Konoha ninjas jumped out and launched a sneak attack.
Ao, who had been using his Byakugan to observe the enemies in the distance, did not notice the ambush that was so close.
The four were caught off guard in an instant.
Ao, who was concentrating on observing the enemy's situation, was even injured by one of them on the spot.
Although the three sneak attacking ninjas were eventually dealt with by the four of them, the sound of the battle also attracted the attention of the Konoha escort troops in the distance.
As a last resort, Ao had to throw out three flares and immediately lead the team to retreat.
What they didn't expect was that among Konoha's escort personnel, there were ninjas from the Hyuga clan.
And the other party seemed to have discovered the existence of Ao, the Byakugan thief.
Several Hyuga clan ninjas chased after them like mad dogs.
"Wind Style: Gale Palm!"
While running, Ao pushed out a gust of wind with his palms, blowing away all the hidden weapons shot from behind.
However, his action only brought on even more intense anger from the two Hyuga ninjas who were rushing in the front.
"Bastard!"
“Go to hell!”
The two of them raised their hands at the same time and suddenly slapped the four people in front of them with hatred from a distance of dozens of meters.
"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Wall Palm!"
The air in front of the palms of the two Hyuga ninjas suddenly compressed, and even made an explosive sound.
Then, a violent wind that was countless times stronger than the "Gale Palm" released by Ao surged, and two extremely huge air attacks bombarded directly at the four people.
"Water Style: Water Formation Wall!"
Mei, who was one step slower than Ao in forming hand seals to perform defensive ninjutsu just now, came in handy at this moment.
A stream of water quickly came out of Mei's mouth.
It turned into a thick water wall in front of the four people, trying to block the enemy's attack.
However, when the air cannon hit the wall of the water formation, water splashed everywhere.
The water wall that looked extremely thick and solid was blasted with two large holes in an instant, and the enemy's attack still bombarded the four people unstoppably.
Kisame saw that his teammates' water wall failed to stop the enemy's attack.
Without saying a word, he stopped, drew out a pair of swords from his back, split them in two, and stood in front of everyone.
Veins bulge on Kisame's arms, and chakra continued to surge, pouring madly into the Hiramekarei in his hand.
Two azure chakra hammers suddenly rose above the two swords. Kisame wielded the two giant hammers in his hands and attacked the enemy without hesitation.
The chakra hammer and the giant air cannon suddenly came into contact, and two huge forces exploded instantly.
"Boom——"
There was a loud noise.
Kisame was blown away by the violent explosion.
Fortunately, the giant air cannon had been weakened once by Mei's water formation wall, otherwise Kisame might not be able to block the two attacks at the same time with the strength of only one hand.
However, the enemy's attack did not stop there.
The two Hyuga clan members were still the first to rush forward, and at the same time they jumped high and attacked the four people with their palms.
However, Kisame, who was knocked away, had a mocking smile on his face.
