Naruto Pokemon chapter 178
🕑 Added 2024-12-06 12:23:02 +0000 UTCChapter 178: Avenge the previous shame
With the arrival of the Kirigakure flying troops.
Countless kunai and explosive tags were scattered throughout the dense forest as if they were free.
Screams and explosions rang out from all over the battlefield, and for a moment the unprepared Konoha ninjas were forced to flee in panic.
After all, most Konoha ninjas don't have much experience in dealing with aerial enemies.
Even if a few calm and experienced ninjas used ninjutsu to launch a counterattack in the air, their attacks would be intercepted by a giant "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough" shot from an unknown direction.
Even though the number of ninjas who mastered this wind-style ninjutsu did not seem to be large in the flying unit.
However, as long as the consumption of chakra is controlled, this small group of ninjas responsible for interception are enough to deal with most types of attacks.
For a time, the Kirigakure's flying unit achieved a record of almost zero casualties.
Kaito, who was looking down, was quite impressed.
"I don't know who came up with this idea? This C-rank ninjutsu of Wind Style Breakthrough is so effective for defense in the air!"
Biwa Juzo looked at Kaito with a strange expression and spoke.
"It is said that it was proposed by the Third Mizukage-sama after he read your mission report."
Kaito's expression froze, and he quickly tried to make amends.
"Well, that Third Mizukage-sama is really..."
Kaito couldn't think of any words to describe it for a moment, and after hesitating for a long time, he only came up with one sentence.
"He is truly wise and powerful."
Biwa Juzo rolled his eyes and turned his head away, not wanting to see Kaito's embarrassed look.
‘How could I have thought that this little brat was the future hope of the Kirigakure Village?’
Biwa Juzo wasn't the only one who felt embarrassed.
Even Kisame, who was standing by, subconsciously moved his feet a little further away from Kaito after hearing what Kaito said.
Only Blue, who still didn't understand the situation, still stood firmly behind Kaito.
Not to mention the weird atmosphere among the three of them.
With the Kirigakure flying troops entering the scene first.
Following closely were the Kirigakure ground troops, which had calculated the timing long ago and rushed into the dense forest in large numbers.
The first to bear the brunt of the attack was none other than the highest commander of the Kirigakure front, Karatachi Yagura.
The short figure holding a huge iron hook, before the people arrived, was the first to fire a ninjutsu at Orochimaru in the middle of the battlefield.
There was no way, Orochimaru was still at the place where Kaito's 'Nebula Shuriken' and 'Triple Rashomon' collided before.
Due to the previous explosion at a distance, all the surrounding trees were destroyed, leaving a large open space.
Orochimaru standing here is too conspicuous.
"Water Style: Water Collapse Bomb"
The huge water ball swung by the iron hook and quickly hit Orochimaru who was standing in place.
The water ball exploded after hitting the ground, creating a large splash of water.
However, after the initial attack, Yagura did not continue to attack. Instead, he placed the iron hook on the ground and just watched the water splash quietly.
"Don't hide, Orochimaru! I don't believe you will fall to an attack of this magnitude!"
As Yagura finished speaking, Orochimaru's figure slowly emerged from the puddle created by the explosion on the ground.
"Hehe, Yagura-san, It looks like we met again."
Yagura stared at Orochimaru in front of him, and unlike his usual gentlemanly and calm demeanor, he spoke in a very cold tone.
"Orochimaru, you won last time! but this time, victory will be on mine!"
Ever since the time when Orochimaru misled the Kirigakure with spies and launched a surprise attack on their camp, causing heavy losses to Kirigakure's troops, Karatachi Yagura has been waiting for this moment.
Although the top leaders later issued an announcement saying that the Kirigakure had won a great victory and destroyed the Konoha camp.
But Yagura himself knew clearly that if it had not been for the sudden heavy rain, the Kirigakure frontline troops might have been driven out of the Land of Whirlpool.
Therefore, Yagura is always waiting for the opportunity to fight Orochimaru again.
However, the village's subsequent strategic decision has always been to use small-scale conflicts to tie down Konoha's military forces, waiting for the other three great ninja villages to join forces to fight against Konoha.
This also forced Yagura to suppress his own thoughts, stay at the front line, and continuously send out small troops to fight a war of attrition with the front-line ninjas of Konoha.
Now, by chance, with the Seven Ninja Swordsmen as bait, the village agreed to send out the flying troops that had just been trained.
This is a good opportunity for him to avenge his previous shame.
"Haha, Yagura-san is very confident in himself."
Even though the Kirigakure troops have now gained the upper hand, Orochimaru seems unmoved by Yagura's declaration.
"Whether it's confidence or arrogance, feel it yourself!"
After this was said, Yagura was not going to continue talking nonsense with Orochimaru.
He swung the huge iron hook that was taller than himself and attacked Orochimaru.
The other Kirigakure ninjas who were accompanying them also rushed towards the Konoha people present with a grin.
From above, the Kirigakure flying troops constantly interfered with the attack, while from below, large numbers of the Kirigakure elite ground ninja troops quickly killed the enemy.
In addition, the ground troops will deliberately launch high-powered attacks to expose the hidden Konoha ninjas one by one, so that the members of the Kirigakure flying troops in the sky can quickly and precisely kill them.
Faced with this air-ground coordinated double attack that they had never seen before, the Konoha ninjas were completely unable to resist for a moment.
By the time Kaito and the other two arrived at the center of the battlefield where the fighting was most intense.
The Konoha ninjas have been beaten back step by step.
However, even so, these Konoha ninjas did not dare to retreat directly.
After all, there are still countless dense forests serving as cover.
If they just left the jungle and went to a more open area, they would undoubtedly become sitting ducks for the flying ninjas in the sky.
"Doctor Kaito, should we go over and besiege Orochimaru together?"
Kisame looked at Orochimaru who was being besieged by several Kirigakure jonin, and seemed to want to join in the action.
Although he didn't say it, it was obvious that he still felt a little bit bothered about the embarrassing escape he had suffered at the hands of Orochimaru.
Kaito actually wanted to sneak attack Orochimaru to avenge himself for almost becoming his "partner" in the experiment.
But when he thinks of this guy's abnormal ability to save his life, even if he really find an opportunity to sneak attack and kill Orochimaru, this guy might be resurrected from a corner one day and come to trouble him again.
Moreover, if he goes up to fight Orochimaru, he might lose his life if he is not careful.
Besides, Orochimaru hasn't even summoned all the snakes yet, so he obviously has some strength left.
After thinking about it, Kaito gave up this tempting suggestion.
"Forget it, forget it. Let's just deal with more Konoha ninjas. Let's leave that guy, Orochimaru, to Yagura-senpai."
However, because Kisame mentioned Orochimaru, Kaito looked towards the place where the battle was taking place.
He actually noticed that Harpoon holding the 'Blunt Blade: Kabutowari' was also among the crowd besieging Orochimaru.
"This guy is really lucky!"
